Privacy Policy — Sonelle

Effective date: 17 May 2026 · Last updated: 17 May 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Yiğit Güleç ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the Sonelle mobile application (the "App"). We have written this policy to be as plain as possible. If anything is unclear, please contact us at yighitgulec@icloud.com.

1. Summary

Sonelle is designed to work on-device. You do not need to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the App. The only data that leaves your device is (a) anonymous diagnostic and analytics data that helps us improve the App, and (b) the information Apple processes when you purchase a subscription. We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with data brokers.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

We do not request and do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, photos, microphone audio, or any other directly identifying information.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you use the App, the following information is collected automatically by third-party SDKs (see Section 4):

  • Diagnostic and crash data, including stack traces, device model, operating system version, application version, and the state of the App at the time of a crash. This is collected by Firebase Crashlytics.
  • App-usage events, such as the screens viewed, features used, in-app purchase events, and approximate session duration. This is collected by Firebase Analytics.
  • Anonymous device identifiers, including a Firebase installation ID and the iOS Identifier for Vendors (IDFV). These identifiers are unique to your installation of Sonelle and cannot be linked to identifiers used by other developers' apps.
  • Coarse location (country and city level), derived from your IP address by Firebase. The App itself does not access GPS or precise location and does not request location permission.

2.3 Information stored only on your device

The following data is stored only on your device (and synchronised via iCloud if you have enabled it for the App in iOS Settings):

  • Your sound and ambiance favourites.
  • Your custom Live Mix arrangements.
  • App preferences (theme, default timer, etc.).
  • Your premium-entitlement status, cached locally for offline access.

We never receive or see this on-device data.

3. How We Use the Information

We use automatically-collected information for:

  • Diagnosing crashes and stability issues.
  • Understanding which features are used so we can improve them.
  • Measuring App performance across devices and iOS versions.

We do not use any information for:

  • Personalised advertising.
  • Sharing or selling to data brokers.
  • Cross-app or cross-site tracking, as defined under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.
  • Building user profiles for any third party.

4. Third-Party Services

Sonelle uses the following third-party services. Each is governed by its own privacy policy:

We do not transfer your data to any other third party.

5. Data Retention

  • Crash and analytics data collected by Firebase is retained according to Firebase's default retention windows (currently between two and fourteen months depending on the data type). Aggregated, non-identifying statistics may be retained for longer.
  • On-device data persists for as long as you have the App installed. Uninstalling the App deletes all on-device data.

6. International Data Transfers

Firebase services are operated by Google LLC and may process data in the United States or other countries where Google operates servers. Google relies on Standard Contractual Clauses and other approved transfer mechanisms to provide a level of protection consistent with the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to the processing of your data, and to withdraw consent at any time.

Because Sonelle does not associate the data we collect with a name, email, or any other directly identifying information, we are typically unable to identify which Firebase records correspond to your specific device. However:

  • You can stop all further analytics and crash reporting at any time by uninstalling the App.
  • You can disable iCloud sync for the App via iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions via iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
  • For any other request, including rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or the Turkish KVKK, contact us at yighitgulec@icloud.com.

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell or share personal information for those purposes.

EEA, UK, and Swiss residents may lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. Our legal basis for processing the limited analytics data described above is our legitimate interest in operating, maintaining, and improving the App.

8. Children's Privacy

Sonelle is not directed to children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the App in a way that resulted in data collection, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

9. Subscriptions and Payments

In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We never see your payment method, billing address, or full Apple ID. Apple shares with us only the anonymous transaction information needed to confirm and renew your subscription. See Apple's privacy policy for details on how Apple handles purchase data.

10. Security

We do not store personal information on our own servers. The third parties listed above use industry-standard security measures, including TLS in transit and encryption at rest. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Material changes will be announced in the App or via a release note. Your continued use of the App after the update constitutes acceptance.
